Sam Craig
About Sam
Sam has a wonderful way of engaging young people and bringing the best out of them. Her warm approach engages even the most reluctant learners.
Sam is highly creative and enjoys crafting of any kind, from felting to upcycling large furniture. Basically, when Sam’s at home, if she can turn something into a craft project she will. This creativity comes out in her tutoring as well, finding new and creative ways to tutor her students to help them succeed.
Sam has 25 years of experience in working with children and their education. Starting out initially as a French teacher, to progressing to more pastoral care and one to one engagement, Sam knew how to tailor her teaching to meet the needs of individual learners. As head of year at a local school, Sam gained a considerable amount of insight into tailored learning for students.
When Sam isn’t tutoring, you will find her involved in an array of community projects. From fundraising community events, providing activities for youth groups and even cooking in community pop up cafes once a month, Sam is never far behind a community-spirited event that requires energy and support.
Sam tutors across the board, supporting younger learners with literacy issues and tailoring targeted intervention for our English GCSE and IGCSE students. She not only sees the potential in all students, she strives to help them reach this potential and gain a huge amount of confidence along the way.
